At My Tutoring Place, our one-on-one English tutoring helps students become confident readers, thoughtful writers, and critical thinkers. We work with students from elementary school through high school, as well as English language learners, providing personalized instruction tailored to each student's goals, abilities, and learning style.

Our Approach

Every student begins with a diagnostic assessment to evaluate reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary, grammar, and overall literacy. From there, we create an individualized learning plan that targets each student's needs while building confidence and encouraging a genuine appreciation for language.

Whether a student is learning foundational reading skills, preparing for an AP English exam, strengthening essay writing, or developing analytical thinking, every lesson is designed to help them succeed.

Our goal extends beyond improving grades and test scores. We strive to help students become lifelong readers, effective communicators, and independent thinkers who approach reading and writing with confidence and curiosity.

Why I Love Teaching English

I have been an avid reader since I was very young. Reading gave me an escape from the world around me and a glimpse into places, people, and ideas I might never have encountered otherwise. It taught me empathy, resilience, and the power of language. Today, I hope to share that same passion with my students, helping them discover that reading and writing are not simply school subjects but lifelong skills that open doors to understanding themselves and the world around them.
